The dynamics of ribonucleoprotein complexes (RNPs) is increasingly recognised as an important driving force of development and disease. Mutations causing cancer or neurodegenerative diseases such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) often act by changing the dynamics of RNP assembly and disassembly. This meeting will bring together scientists who study the roles of RNPs in development or disease with diverse methods, such as RNP interactomics, CLIP, computatonal modelling, biophysics and imaging. It will offer an opportunity to exchange knowledge and discuss future opportunities to further integrate the following complementary approaches:
Transcriptomics and proteomics of protein-RNA networks
Dynamics of RNPs through phase separation
Biological roles of RNPs in development, cancer or neurodegeneration
