25th Annual Meeting of the RNA Society of Japan

We are pleased to announce that the 25th Annual Meeting of the RNA Society of Japan will be held from Wednesday, June 26, to Friday, June 28, 2024, at Yasuda Auditorium, The University of Tokyo. This marks our fourth time hosting in Tokyo, following the 2nd annual meeting (chaired by Yoshikazu Nakamura and Koichi Ito), the 12th annual meeting (chaired by Tsutomu Suzuki), and the 21st annual meeting (chaired by Kozo Tomita), and our first time back in four years.

The mRNA vaccines against the novel coronavirus rapidly became indispensable worldwide to overcome the pandemic, making "RNA" widely known among the general public. This has not only increased interest and importance in basic research but also recognized the untapped potential for practical applications.

At this year's annual conference, in addition to traditional main research areas such as transcription, translation, RNA structure, and the mechanisms of action of non-coding RNA, we plan to present research from a wide range of fields on basic research related to viruses, immunity, modifications where RNA plays a crucial role, as well as diseases and physiological functions related to RNA, and its potential as nucleic acid medicine.

Furthermore, we will invite renowned researchers from Japan and abroad to lecture on the latest topics related to RNA, including mRNA vaccines.

We have prepared content that can be thoroughly enjoyed by researchers and students who are participating in the RNA Society Japan for the first time, so we would be delighted if you could join us and actively participate in the discussions. We also plan to have a Best Presentation Award for outstanding student presentations, so we encourage your participation.
