Considering the serious damages to KUMAMOTO and OITA prefectures caused by the earthquakes on and after April 14th, RNA2016 Organizers extend the deadlines of the Poster-only Abstract submission and Early-Registration for Members of the RNA Society of Japan who live or work in KUMAMOTO and OITA prefectures to Monday, April 25th.

The president of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) asks the President of the RNA Society of Japan to nominate an outstanding doctoral student who can be expected to contribute to Japan’s future scientific advancement for the 7th (FY2016) JSPS Ikushi Prize. Student Members are encouraged to apply for the nominee.

日本学術振興会から第6回（平成27年度）日本学術振興会育志賞の受賞候補者の推薦の依頼があり、本学会の学生会員から候補者を公募し、選考委員会による選考を経て1名を推薦いたしました。日本学術振興会育志賞選考委員会による選考の結果、本学会が推薦した下記の候補者の受賞が決定いたしましたのでご報告いたします。

We are pleased to provide information about the election for the Term 9 (FY2016-FY2017) Council Officers of the RNA Society of Japan.
A Regular Member of the Society is to be co-awarded the FY2015 Asahi Prize.
Two Regular Members of the Society are to be awarded the 12th (FY2015) JSPS PRIZE.
The 2016 joint annual meeting of the RNA Society and the RNA Society of Japan will be held on June 28 - July 2, 2016 at the International Conference Center in Kyoto, one of the most charming, historic cities in Japan.
Two awardees of the AOBA Prize and eight winners of the Excellent Reseach Award among student participants of the 17th Annual Meeting held in Sapporo are announced.
